Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. SELLER AND SCOPE

The seller is Le Tapis de Laine, a French single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company (SASU) with a share capital of €1,000, registered office at 77 boulevard Maurice Fournol, 12400 Saint-Affrique, France, registered with the Rodez Trade and Companies Register under no. 931 999 221, SIRET 931 999 221 00027, VAT no. FR29931999221, e-mail: support@letapisdelaine.fr (“Le Tapis de Laine”).

These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed by consumers on www.letapisdelaine.fr (“the Website”). The version in force on the date of the order applies.

2. FORMATION OF THE CONTRACT

The presentation of products on the Website does not constitute a binding offer. By clicking the order button confirming your obligation to pay, you place a binding order. The contract is concluded when we send you the order confirmation by e-mail. You can review and correct your entries at any time before submitting the order.

3. PRICES AND PAYMENT

Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of VAT and exclusive of delivery costs, which are displayed before you complete your order. Payment is due in full at the time of ordering, by credit or debit card, bank transfer or PayPal. All transactions are encrypted and secure.

4. DELIVERY

We deliver to France and the European Union. Our products are made to order; the estimated delivery time is shown during checkout. Unless otherwise agreed, we deliver no later than 30 days after conclusion of the contract. If this period is exceeded, you may set us a reasonable additional period and, if delivery still does not take place, cancel the contract; any payments made will be refunded without delay.

5. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Le Tapis de Laine, 77 boulevard Maurice Fournol, 12400 Saint-Affrique, France, e-mail: support@letapisdelaine.fr) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an e-mail). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will carry out the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the 14-day period has expired. You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (personalised or made-to-measure products).

6. EXTENDED RETURN POLICY (30 DAYS)

In addition to your statutory right of withdrawal, we voluntarily grant you an extended return period of 30 calendar days from receipt of your order. To be eligible, the item must be unused and in perfect condition, returned in its original packaging with all original components, and accompanied by proof of purchase. This voluntary policy does not apply to personalised or made-to-measure products or discounted items. Return shipping costs are borne by you. Once the item has been received and inspected, we will process the refund within 7 working days. Your statutory rights (right of withdrawal, legal guarantees) remain unaffected.

7. LEGAL GUARANTEES

You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (two years from delivery, under which you may request repair or replacement and, failing that, a price reduction or refund) and from the guarantee against hidden defects. If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact support@letapisdelaine.fr as soon as possible with a photo or video — we will replace it at no extra cost. Reporting promptly is not a condition of your statutory rights. Consumers habitually resident in another EU country also retain the benefit of any more protective mandatory provisions of that country.

8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

If you have a question or complaint, please contact support@letapisdelaine.fr first — we will do our best to resolve it. Under French law (Article L612-1 of the Consumer Code), consumers may also use a free consumer mediation service; details of the competent mediator are available on request. You may also bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence.

9. APPLICABLE LAW

These terms are governed by French law. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you habitually reside (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation).
