The wool comes from the Roquefort PDO area on the Larzac plateau: local, traceable, from flocks held to a demanding set of standards. It is turned into felt in Aveyron with Filature Colbert, then the mat receives its non-slip coating, applied evenly. The personalised engraving comes last and signs the product cleanly, without altering the material. And the strap? As we cannot yet have it made in France, it is sewn in India by an association helping women survivors of violence rebuild their lives.

Your engraved mat is made for everyday life: unroll, session, roll up, off you go. The strap does everything: it works as an exercise tool (stretching, alignment, opening up) and as an easy way to carry the mat anywhere. As for care, wool prefers to breathe: air it out after use. Dust: vacuum with a soft attachment. Small mark: lightly soapy sponge, air-dry (not on a radiator). Deep clean: dry cleaning recommended. Avoid the washing machine.
We turn local wool, far too often thrown away, into a mat that is useful, long-lasting and frankly desirable. Renewable wool (no petrochemicals), French manufacturing, rooted in the Larzac and the Roquefort PDO area: fewer miles, more coherence. Even the strap follows the same logic of impact: made in India by an association helping women survivors of violence rebuild their lives. The result: a mat that is beautiful, fair, and carries your name.
For every mat sold, we give €2 to projects supporting the revival of the French wool industry.

Made from Larzac wool, sourced from Lacaune sheep farms in the Roquefort AOP region. It is a byproduct of dairy production: shearing is necessary for the animals' well-being, so the fiber exists regardless. It is felted at the Filature Colbert in Camarès, then crafted in our Saint-Affrique workshop. No dyes or chemical treatments added.
Like a wool sweater, wool cleans itself when left to air out. In general, air out your mat as often as possible to let the wool breathe. Regular cleaning extends the life of the mat. Vacuum whenever necessary to remove dust.
For three measurable reasons. Wool absorbs up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp, compared to less than 1% for most synthetic fibers, so it stays comfortable even during intense sessions. Its keratin naturally limits the growth of odor-causing bacteria without chemical treatments. Finally, it contains no phthalates, which ANSES classifies as endocrine disruptors and which are found in PVC mats. At the end of its life, it is 95% biodegradable within fifteen weeks.
Yes, a thick mat cushions and relieves the joints. With 8 mm of dense wool, the mat provides real support for knees and elbows. Larzac wool from Lacaune sheep is known for its resilient qualities, particularly in bedding.
Wool is a natural, biodegradable material: at the end of its life, it can be composted or reused, for example as garden mulch. While the thin non-slip polymer layer on our yoga mats is not compostable, our meditation and play mats are 100% wool.
