Floor grip
The grip between the wool and your hands or feet is universally praised, even for weight-bearing poses. The only concern is the mat itself sliding on certain smooth floor surfaces.
The scent of wool
A felted wool mat does not smell like a PVC or TPE mat. In fact, customers often mention this scent in their reviews as a reason for buying rather than a drawback.
Care and first use
Felted wool may shed a few fibers during the first few sessions; a quick brushing is all it needs. It also absorbs moisture, which creates a different feel compared to a synthetic mat.
Weight and transport
The yoga mat weighs 1.15 kg and measures 190 × 61 cm with a thickness of 8 mm. Reviews describe it as thick without being heavy, and the strap is a frequent addition to orders.
Price and the value of the purchase
Our mats range from €25 to €150. The price is acknowledged as high in reviews, and accepted as such: the French wool industry is almost always mentioned in the same breath.
Comfort and warmth
This is the most commented-on theme. The wool is described as plush while remaining firm enough for practice, and its insulating properties are mentioned constantly. Knees and joints are cited as the primary beneficiaries.
Ordering, delivery, and customer service
Fast shipping and direct contact with the workshop are widely praised. Reservations do exist, and we leave them visible: one Christmas order arrived very late, and an exchange for a defect took time to process—the two most critical reviews focus on logistics, not the mat itself.
Quality and aesthetics
"Beautiful," "magnificent," and "lovely object" come up constantly: many customers leave the mat unrolled at home as a decorative piece. The raw look of the wool and the artisanal finish are described as a charm, not a flaw.
